Description
The PEX and Geodata Unit belongs to the municipal management sector and is responsible for strategic planning, comprehensive and detailed planning, as well as land and development issues and landslide safety projects.
We have several exciting development projects underway, both in the planning phase and implementation phase. We are now looking for a land and development engineer who enjoys working with land issues and project managing the implementation of detailed plans.
As we are a small unit, we work closely together in community planning. If you want to be part of developing and shaping the future of Lilla Edet and help develop the land and development operations, then this job is for you!
Responsibilities
We are looking for a land and development engineer who can work with development projects and otherwise represent the municipality as a property owner together with our current planning and development engineer.
In the role of land and development engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Handling the purchase and sale of municipally owned land.
- Being responsible for leases and other rights on municipal land.
- Being a contact person for utility owners and community associations.
- Driving the development and realization of expansion projects on municipal land.
- Acting as project manager for development projects in the implementation phase.
- Working with negotiations, contracts, and agreements.
- Collaborating with construction actors, property owners, utility owners, municipal administrations, and companies.
- Preparing development calculations and quality assuring and following up on your own projects.
- Providing material for the development budget.
- Preparing implementation descriptions in the planning process and supporting planning managers in implementation issues.
- Preparing service letters and presentations for political decisions, etc.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
We are looking for someone with a university degree in, for example, surveying or another education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have several years of experience in land and development issues and be used to working as a project manager in development projects or other types of projects.
You will have many contacts within the municipality, with the public, developers, and authorities. Everyone needs clear information and good dialogue with you. Therefore, you need to be good at listening, communicating, negotiating, and expressing yourself well in speech and writing. You are also used to making oral and written presentations.
You have good collaborative skills and are used to working towards set project goals defined in time, budget, and quality.
Personal Qualities
You have the ability to create mutual trust and respect in meetings with colleagues, operators, and the public. You need to be responsible, engaged, and driven in your work. You also need to have a structured and solution-oriented approach where you, in collaboration with colleagues, develop solutions and are open to new working methods. Good analytical skills and a good ability to see the big picture, as well as an understanding of the municipal organization, are other important qualities.

We use the municipality's pool cars for our service matters, so a B driver's license is required.
